Francesco Pace (ITA):

"The detection of galaxy clusters"

Abstract. Galaxy clusters are very important objects for cosmology. With the present and future surveys, a very large fraction of the sky will be covered and reliable automatic searches are needed. I will shortly review the main ideas about filtering techniques used to detect galaxy-clusters and how they can be used. I will show some results from cosmological numerical simulations to search for dark matter halos and for halos through the SZ effect and X-ray emission.
