"Chemistry in Protoplanetary Disks as revealed by Observations and Modeling"

Zusammenfassung. In my presentation I'll overview the activity of the MPIA astrochemistry group to understand and characterize chemical evolution of protoplanetary disks. The presentation will consist of two major parts. First, I'll give a summary of what we know about PPDs from (sub-) millimeter observations of molecular lines and discuss our contribution to this topic. In the second half of the talk, I'll focus on the role of polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) for chemistry and disk evolution.
