Outreach

Here is the list of outreach and educational activities in which I am involved.

Public lectures and guided observation of the heavens

Since 1995 I am offering lectures for kids ad adults with the hope of spreading some knowledge regarding astronomy. The lectures are usually enriched by observations at the telescope.

Organization of Star-Party

Since 1994 I am organizing a star-party held on the Dolomites (Carlo Magno Hotel SPA & Resort, Dolomites Astronomical Observatory) and devoted to amateur astronomers. The event sees the participation of other astronomers to describe the current status of the field.

Advanced training for teachers

Me, T. Lisker, C. Angrick and B. Malte Shaefer organized a series of lectures (a 5 days intense course) to provide some support to German High-School teachers to provide additional material for their lectures. The courses are recognized by the Bavaria Land (Lehrerfortbildung).
