Peter Melchior, Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics

I did my PhD in Prof. Bartelmann's cosmology group at the Institut für Theoretische Astrophysik in Heidelberg.
Now I'm a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Cosmology and AstroParticle Physics of the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, USA.

My research is focussed on finding ways of accurate shape measurements for weak gravitational lensing purposes. Related to this, I'm also concerned with parameterizing galactic morphologies to infer morphological clustering or to produce highly realistic synthetic observations.

I'm a member of the CLASH collaboration, of the Dark Energy Survey collaboration, of the EUCLID Imaging Consortium, and supported by the U.S. Department of Energy.
During my time in Heidelberg, I co-organized the Heidelberg Astronomers' Convention. One of my latest projects is the website PaperRater.org, where you can rate and comment papers appearing on arXiv or in scientific journals.

Apart from that, I
