"The relation between star formation rates and dense gas mass in molecular clouds"

Zusammenfassung. I will discuss the recent result form Lada et al 2010 that the star formation rate in molecular clouds is directly proportional to the quantity of gas whose number density exceeds 10^4 cm^-3 and I will compare this result with simulations with and without ionizing feedback.
