uncommon questions - electric and magnetic fields

Can you give a general relationship how many components the electric and the magnetic fields have in \(n+1\) dimensions? the minimum number of dimensions allowing gravity to propagate is 4, would there be a similar argument for the electromagnetic field? Can you say something about the character of the fields in \(n\) dimensions (i.e. scalar, vector, pseudo-scalar, tensor)?
