missing volume

Please estimate how much volume is missing from the Hubble-volume because of the gravitational backreaction-effect of the gravitational wave background. Can you make an intuitive argument why there should be volume-changing Ricci-curvature being produced by the Weyl-curvature of the gravitational wave?
