Profile
I am a postdoctoral researcher at ITA who focusses on star formation in both the present day and the early universe. In 2011 I received independent funding from the DFG Priority Program 1573 for the project, "The interplay between IRDC Formation and the Birth of Massive Stars". I have used this money to study the obersvational signatures of star formation in cores Paper I, Paper II. Recently I have used the moving mesh code AREPO to study CO-dark gas and molecular filaments in Milky Way-type galaxies . In 2014 I was awarded the Norman Lockyer fellowship from the Royal Astronomical Society which I will take to the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics in Manchester.
