Colin McNally (American Museum of Natural History):

"Phurbas: a Lagrangian code for MHD (and more?)"

Abstract. I will discuss our work on Phrubas, a new Lagrangian code for MHD. Phurbas is a meshless collocation method, based on a unorganized set of points. This enables the use of the MHD equations in Lagrangian (comoving) time derivatives and results in Galilean invariance of the CFL condition timestep limit, amongst other properties. These properties lead into a strategy for building global three dimensional protoplanetary disk models.
