Elizabeth Fernandez(IAS Paris):

"The Cosmic Infrared Background - A Window into the High Redshift Universe"

Abstract. A new exciting era of astronomy is beginning - the ability to observe high redshift (z>6) star formation. I will discuss recent work in observing the Cosmic Infrared Background (CIB), which can give us information about star formation at high redshift as a whole, rather than just bright or common sources. Many properties of early stars and galaxies can be inferred by this background. However, observations are challenging. I will cover the recent theoretical work, as well as the state of current observations.
