Simon Goodwin (Sheffield):

"What do star clusters look like?"

Abstract. Star clusters are complex, substructured mixtures of stars and gas that can evolve significantly while they are young. But how can we describe structure in clusters? How can we compare one cluster with another, and with simulations? I will talk about how we can try and quantify structure in star clusters with current methods using the mnimum spanning tree (MST) and future directions using graph theory in general.
