Fields of Research & Groups

At the moment, there are four different groups doing research at the institute. Each of these groups is specialized in some topics of astrophysics. For more information, please check the group homepages below.

• Cosmology, clusters of galaxies and gravitational lenses (Bartelmann group)
• Star formation, interstellar turbulence, molecular cloud dynamics, galactic dynamics, numerical methods (Klessen group)
• Protoplanetary disks and the formation of planets (Dullemond group)
• Stellar atmospheres and astrochemistry (Gail group)
