I will host the lecture "Numerical Methods of Plasmaastrophysiscs". Please see Lectures for further details.

Research area

My research covers plasma and high energy astrophysics. This contains Active Galactic Nuclei, transport of cosmic rays and nonthermal plasmas. In this context I am also interested in kinetic turbulence and plasma instabilities
My main method are numerical simulation e.g. Particle-in-Cell codes, but also Vlasov methods and many more.

I am also a member of the KATRIN collaboration. I am doing plasma simulations for the tritium source.
I have joined the Project 8 consortium recently. There I am also tasked with plasma simulations..
